Rolls-Royce to supply 12-MW/24-MWh battery system to Encavis

Rolls-Royce Power Systems will provide a 12-MW/24-MWh battery energy storage system to Encavis AG, a wind and solar park operator based in Hamburg. The battery, to be installed in Hettstedt, aims to balance power generation fluctuations and enhance security of supply for German wind and solar parks. Set to launch in Q1 2025, the system will also involve a decade of maintenance from Rolls-Royce.
