RWE kicks off 53MW Italian wind farm

RWE has started the construction of a 53MW wind farm in Apulia region in south-east Italy. Nine turbines will be installed, each with a capacity of 5.9MW, the Mondonuovo wind farm is scheduled to be commissioned in 2025. RWE Renewables Europe & Australia chief executive Katja Wünschel mentioned the key markets in Italy and the climate targets. The projects aim to provide green electricity to homes and support the energy transition.
