RWE secures PPAs for solar plants in Greece

Germany’s RWE and Greek state-owned utility PPC are building five solar farms totaling 210 MW in Greece’s Macedonia region. Meton Energy S.A., a joint venture of RWE and PPC, signed PPAs for three solar farms with Greek power utility Heron. The PPAs range from 10 to 12 years for about 192 GWh of solar energy per year. This marks a new beginning for the Greek energy market towards subsidy-free energy.
