RWE secures three HVDC systems for future offshore wind projects

German energy group RWE AG has signed framework agreements with Switzerland-based Hitachi Energy and Norway’s Aibel for the supply of three high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems for offshore wind projects. The agreements will ensure that future offshore wind farms can be integrated into the grid efficiently.
