RWE starts building first Italian PV array

RWE has started construction of its first solar plant, Bosco, in Partinico Municipality near Palermo, Sicily. The plant will have an 8.3MW capacity with 15,000 bifacial modules expected to power about 7000 homes. The project benefitted from Italy's new accelerated permitting process, reaching construction stage in under 18 months. RWE Renewables executive, Katja Wünschel, highlighted the quick development and the importance of Italy as a key market for further projects.
