RWE taps Lamprell for transition pieces in 2.8 GW UK offshore projects

German energy group RWE AG has awarded contracts to Lamprell Energy Ltd for the supply of transition pieces for two offshore wind projects in the UK. The projects, Norfolk Vanguard West and Norfolk Vanguard East, have a combined capacity of 2.8 GW. Lamprell will manufacture and supply 92 transition pieces for each project. RWE plans to progress the development of the projects by entering them into a future contracts for difference auction.
