SEFE gets EU nod to gain full control of Wiga

German energy company SEFE has received EU approval to acquire full control of gas network operator Wiga. This acquisition supports Germany's hydrogen strategy. SEFE will become the sole owner of Wiga by acquiring the stake held by Wintershall Dea AG. The transaction includes gaining control of subsidiaries GASCADE and NEL, which operate 4,150 km of gas pipelines. SEFE aims to convert the infrastructure to hydrogen for advancing the green energy transformation.
