SEG Solar leases land for 5 GW cell, 3 GW module production in Indonesia

SEG Solar has signed a lease with KITB to develop a 5 GW cell and 3 GW module capacity plant in central Indonesia. The $500 million investment will be made through SEG ATW Solar Manufaktur Indonesia, a joint venture. The project is expected to be completed in Q2 2024. CEO Jim Wood mentions the supportive environment in Indonesia with favorable policies and resources.
