Siemens Gamesa workers in Hull call off strike after pay victory

Siemens Gamesa avoids industrial action at its blade factory in Hull, England by agreeing to hike wages for 2024 and 2025 as per the deal with UK trade union Unite, which resulted in calling off the workers’ strike. About 300 workers at the Hull facility were engaged in negotiations over a pay offer and incentives. The workers are involved in making 108-metre-long wind turbine blades by hand, which have potential implications for offshore wind farms in East Anglia 3 and Moray West.
