Singapore developer planning 1 GW of solar in Australia

Cambridge JMD Australia plans to build a 300 MW solar farm as part of a $1.7 billion North Queensland Renewable Energy Park in Burdekin Shire, Queensland. This initial stage will be developed on former sugarcane land and aims to generate 2.48 TWh of clean energy annually. It is intended to support Australia’s carbon emissions targets and local economic growth, with construction expected to start in 2025.
