Singulus claims new coating machine can improve PV cell efficiency up to 1%

Singulus Technologies, a German vacuum coating equipment manufacturer, launched Generis PET for edge passivation of cut solar cells. Applying passivation layer to cell edges improves efficiency by up to 1.0%. The system allows processing of various cell formats and is compatible with crystalline solar cell technology.
