Site works begin for 800 MWh battery in Australia

Synergy, a Western Australian government-owned energy generator and retailer, is constructing a second big battery with a capacity of 200 MW/800 MWh in Kwinana. The first stage of the project, with 100 MW/200 MWh capacity, is near completion. The batteries aim to support grid stability by storing and delivering electricity, thus facilitating the integration of renewable energy into the grid and enhancing system security.
