Emerge, a joint venture between Masdar and the EDF Group, has broken ground on SNOC’s 60MWp solar plant in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The PV array is expected to offset 66,000 CO2 emissions annually, equivalent to taking over 14,600 cars off the road each year. The project supports SNOC’s commitment to decarbonisation and its goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2032. The project aligns with the United Arab Emirates’ ambitious Net-Zero 2050 strategy, promoting renewable energy sources for a more sustainable future.
