Solarpack, SJVN ink 482MW Indian hybrid solar-wind PPA

Solarpack, a Spanish developer, has signed a 482MW hybrid solar-wind project in Gujarat, India. The project, named Ganeko, includes 383MW of solar PV and 99MW of wind capacity. Solarpack is focused on developing multi-technology renewable projects in India, aiming to reach a portfolio of 1GW by 2024. SJVN, a state-owned utility, has also been active in the Indian solar industry, launching tenders for PV modules for multiple projects. The solar industry in India has seen significant growth, with a record 10GW of solar PV capacity installed in the first quarter of 2024.
