South Australia tests energy-smart homes to ease pressure on grid

The Energy Masters project, led by South Australia Power Networks (SAPN) and funded partially by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), aims to coordinate residential energy resources to optimize household energy usage and respond to market signals in South Australia. The project will install smart energy appliances in 500 homes to reduce peak demand and network costs. The initiative is part of a broader movement towards consumer energy resources to support Australia's clean energy transition.
