Spain: 95 MW solar park sold

BayWa r.e. has sold the Spanish solar park Almodóvar to Encavis AG. The plant in Andalusia is expected to be connected to the grid in Q4 2025. This sale marks another milestone in their partnership. Almodóvar is part of a VPPA with Huhtamaki covering around 80% of their electricity needs in Europe. Measures to improve biodiversity include creating bodies of water, constructing nesting boxes, and cultivating legumes and cereals. Matthias Taft is the CEO of BayWa r.e. AG and mentioned their continuous efforts in renewable energies. Juanjo Álvarez, Managing Director, BayWa r.e. Projects Spain, highlighted their significant projects in Spain.
