Spain passes regulation for floating solar PV plants on public reservoirs

Spain has passed a regulation allowing installation of floating solar PV (FPV) projects on reservoirs. The decree sets limits on the project's surface area based on water quality. Licenses are temporary for up to 25 years. MITECO will monitor environmental impacts. Soltec introduced a new floating tracker for inland water bodies.
