Spain targeting 56 GW of new solar by 2030 under new energy strategy

Spain's Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge has published a revised draft of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan with a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 32%. The plan includes significant targets for renewable energy sources like solar photovoltaic, wind power, and green hydrogen generation. José Donoso from the Spanish solar energy association UNEF expressed support for the plan and highlighted the importance of storage expansion and regulatory measures.
