A team from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ) and the UPV's Institute of Information and Communications Technologies has developed materials to improve the process of obtaining hydrogen from water using microwave radiation. The design allows for green hydrogen production through redox cycles, separating and releasing oxygen. The microwave-driven redox chemical loop reduces operating temperature and complexity, enhancing energy efficiency.
