SPR wins consent for 65MW Scottish hybrid

ScottishPower Renewables has received planning consent for the 65MW Hollandmey hybrid renewables project in Scotland. The project will consist of 10 turbines delivering 50MW of onshore wind capacity, a 15MW solar array, and 15MW of battery energy storage capacity. It will be located 8km south-west of John O’Groats in the Highlands. The project aims to provide green electricity for about 40,000 homes, combining onshore wind, solar, and battery technologies to maximize electricity generation and distribution in the UK.
