State forests manager authorises wind project studies in NSW

Forestry Corporation has granted permits to several companies to study wind farm opportunities in pine plantations in the Central West and Southern Inland regions of New South Wales, Australia. The companies, including Neoen SA, Iberdrola Australia, TagEnergy, Mainstream Renewables Power, and Someva Renewables, will conduct feasibility studies and community consultations for their projects under the supervision of Forestry CEO Anshul Chaudhary. The projects are expected to be operational by the early 2030s.
