Statera proposes 500MW UK battery storage project

UK-based company Statera has submitted a planning application for a 500MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Oxfordshire, England. The project is set to connect to the Culham substation in 2027, aiming to enhance power security and stability at Culham Campus. The proposal also includes plans for biodiversity enhancement and tree restoration.
