Statera seeks permit for 500-MW battery in England

Statera Energy, a UK flexible energy infrastructure developer, has announced the filing of a planning application for a 500-MW battery energy storage system at Culham Campus in Oxfordshire. The Culham battery is planned to connect to the Culham Substation in 2027 to support the local power network and the decarbonisation of the UK's electricity system.
