Stem, Prometheus complete first of three 2024 BESS projects for Arizona co-ops

The BESS project by Stem Inc and Prometheus Power in Arizona for utilities in the AEPCO cooperative includes a 40MWh battery energy storage system added to a 20MW solar PV plant. Stem is using its Athena energy management system software platform to operate the project. Stem Inc CEO, John Carrington, emphasized the significance of the co-operative utility segment in the US grid-scale energy storage market.
