Sunmaxx PVT, Oxford PV present perovskite-silicon tandem solar thermal module with 80% overall efficiency

Germany’s Sunmaxx PVT and perovskite solar company Oxford PV have partnered to launch Solar Hammer, a solar photovoltaic-thermal module with record efficiency. The new module boasts an overall conversion efficiency of 80%, combining thermal management technology with photovoltaics. The technology will be commercialised in the next 12 to 18 months in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, aiming for worldwide distribution.
