Swift Solar bags US$27 million for US perovskite development

Swift Solar, a US solar technology company, has secured $27 million to develop perovskite tandem solar cell manufacturing. The funding was led by Eni Next, with other investors including Stamford University and Fontinalis Partners. Joel Jean, the co-founder and CEO, aims to bring advanced solar manufacturing back to the US. Swift Solar claims that perovskite technology could decrease the cost of solar energy by up to 30%.
