The Hydrogen Stream: EU hydrogen tender ends with bids below €0.50/kg

The European Commission has allocated €720 million to seven renewable hydrogen projects across Finland, Norway, Spain, and Portugal following a highly competitive bid. These projects aim to produce 1.58 million metric tons of hydrogen over 10 years. Additionally, Chile has launched a comprehensive Hydrogen Action Plan to enhance its economic diversity through hydrogen. In Namibia, Cleanergy Solutions, in collaboration with CMB.Tech and O&L, is setting up the first hydrogen refueling station and projects related to hydrogen-powered ships and production facilities. Meanwhile, BASF reported a hydrogen leak at its German plant.
