The Hydrogen Stream: Lhyfe launches world’s first offshore hydrogen project

Lhyfe has successfully towed its Sealhyfe offshore hydrogen production pilot into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Le Croisic, France. The compact platform can produce up to 400 kilograms of hydrogen per day. The Hydrogen Offshore Production for Europe (HOPE) project aims to demonstrate large-scale offshore renewable hydrogen production. RINA and AFRY studied linking the Gulf region and Europe for low-carbon hydrogen transportation. Australia approved a renewable hydrogen plant in Victoria. Toyota, Toyota Tsusho, and Mitsubishi Kakoki will introduce biogas-derived hydrogen production equipment in Thailand. Hydrogen de France signed deals to develop hydrogen power plants in the Philippines.
