The Hydrogen Stream: US government targets $2/kg by 2026, $1/kg by 2031

The US Department of Energy's Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office has released a strategy aiming for reduced hydrogen production costs and advanced electrolyzer systems by 2026. Plug Power will supply electrolyzers to Allied Green Ammonia in Australia, aiming for operation by 2027. The Dutch government is subsidizing seven hydrogen projects aimed at sustainable production for industry and refueling stations. H-TEC Systems and Bilfinger are collaborating on green hydrogen projects in Europe.
