Thrive buys rights to CfD-backed wind project in South Wales

Thrive Renewables has acquired the development rights to build a 13.5-MW onshore wind farm in Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales from REG Power Management. The project, named Abergorki, secured a Contract for Difference in Auction Round 6 of the UK Government. Construction is set to start in 2025 with completion expected in 2026, producing 40 GWh of clean electricity annually.
