Thrive buys rights to CfD-backed wind project in South Wales

Bristol-based renewable energy investor Thrive Renewables has acquired the development rights to build a 13.5-MW onshore wind farm in Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales from REG Power Management. The wind farm project named Abergorki is expected to produce up to 40 GWh of clean electricity annually, benefiting 12,349 local homes. Thrive Renewables, founded in 1994, funds, builds, and operates clean energy projects. The company generated 136,316 MWh of green electricity in 2023.
