Trina Solar has expanded its operations in its Vietnam solar wafer manufacturing facility, significantly increasing its workforce and production capacity. The company is involved in high value, advanced manufacturing processes in Southeast Asia and has faced challenges with US tariffs. Trina Solar and Canadian Solar have been relocating portions of their supply chains to Southeast Asia to avoid US tariffs on Chinese products. A new petition seeks to extend the tariffs and restrict solar products from Southeast Asia entering the US market.
