Trina Solar submits plans for 2.6GWh BESS in Western Australia

CS Energy in Queensland received all Tesla Megapack 2XL units for a 400MWh project. Trina Solar submitted a planning application for a 660MW/2,640MWh BESS in Wellesley, Western Australia. The BESS, named Kemerton BESS, is an AU$400 million investment in the SWIS. Trina Solar plans to commence construction in Q3 of 2026. Trina Solar has been active in energy storage projects worldwide. CS Energy is investing in energy storage in Queensland.
