Tubesolar files for insolvency

Germany-based Tubesolar AG has filed for insolvency in Augsburg, Germany. Georg Jakob Stemshorn from German law firm Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH is appointed as the interim insolvency administrator. Tubesolar specializes in producing thin-film PV tubes for agrivoltaic applications. Stemshorn aims to continue business operations while assessing the financial situation and exploring restructuring options. Tubesolar's insolvency ensures employees' salaries for the next three months. The company plans to scale up production in the future. Solyndra, a US thin-film solar manufacturer, faced bankruptcy in 2011.
