Tunisia allocates $121 million for residential solar rebates

The Tunisian government has renewed the financing mechanism for its two national residential solar programs, Prosol Residential and Prosol Elec. STEG has obtained a financing agreement from Zitouna Bank for the 2024-26 period. The financing will be in the form of rebates allocated by the Energy Transition Fund to Tunisian households. ANME highlighted that the Prosol program aims to remove barriers at the end consumer level, encouraging the development of solar systems for self-consumption.
