EBRD to finance 120 MW of solar in Tunisia

The EBRD is financing the construction and operation of two solar plants in Tunisia with the help of French development agency Proparco, Clean Technology Fund and Global Environment Facility. The plants in Tozeur and Sidi Bouzid will be developed by Scatec and Aeolus. Nandita Parshad, managing director of EBRD’s Sustainable Infrastructure Group, highlighted the commitment to supporting Tunisia's renewable energy sector. Japan’s Ministry of Environment is also collaborating on the financing program. Tunisia has deployed 506 MW of solar energy by the end of 2023.
