TWP submits Ayre offshore scoping report

Thistle Wind Partners (TWP) submitted the offshore scoping report for the Ayre offshore wind project to the Scottish government. The project is a 1GW floating wind project located 22km east of Orkney. The developer conducted a 24-month campaign of offshore aerial bird and marine mammal surveys as part of the environmental baseline surveys. TWP project team is planning community consultation events in Caithness and Orkney to support the EIA and consenting journey. TWP project director Ian Taylor expressed delight in reaching a milestone for the project and emphasized collaboration with stakeholders.
