German quality assurance and testing centre TÜV Rheinland will present a traceability testing service for modules at Intersolar Europe 2024. The service aims to establish traceability management requirements as a standard in the solar PV industry, allowing stakeholders to trace the supply chain documentation of purchased modules. It is based on the ISO 9001 management system standard and offers a three-step approach, including examining management processes, tools used for traceability, and determining the level of detail for traceability documentation. TÜV Rheinland has audited factories of major PV module manufacturers in Asia to develop the service, reflecting the industry's growth and global focus on ESG issues. The organization has also invested in a new US base, the Technology and Innovation Centre in Boxborough, Massachusetts, to conduct various tests and certifications.
