UK awards 9.6 GW of CfDs in sixth renewables auction

The UK government's sixth renewables auction awarded contracts for difference to 9,648.26 MW of capacity across 131 clean energy projects, including Hornsea 3, Hornsea 4, and Green Volt. Prices were below the auction cap, and Ørsted A/S secured contracts for Hornsea 3 and Hornsea 4. Neil McDermott, CEO of Low Carbon Contracts Company, noted LCCC's increased renewable electricity CfD portfolio.
