UK battery storage developer Field expands into Spain, planning 'hundreds of megawatts' storage capacity by 2030. The move is driven by Spain's excess renewable generation leading to zero/negative power prices. General manager Toni Martinez heads the Barcelona office. Spain aims for 81% renewables in power mix by 2030 with a 22 GW storage target. Field, founded in 2021, has projects in UK, Spain, Italy. Emanuele Taibi manages the Italy office.
