The Cleve Hill Solar Park project in Kent, UK, faced local council's refusal for a 150MW BESS but successfully appealed. The flagship 373MW solar farm will include the battery energy storage system. The decision was appealed due to safety concerns related to lithium ferrophosphate batteries. Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners acquired the solar park from Hive Energy and Wirsol. Gareth Phillips from Pinsent Masons led the successful appeal against the council's decision.
