UKIB invests £20m in Scottish cable factory

UK Infrastructure Bank (UKIB) invests in XLCC, a subsea high voltage direct current (HVDC) cable manufacturer, for a new factory in Hunterston, Scotland. The funding aims to support the Clean Energy Mission and accelerate the UK's transition to net zero. XLCC's factory in Hunterston will create jobs and enhance the country's manufacturing skills for offshore wind projects.
