Ukraine has received 5,876 solar panels as part of the Ray of Hope project, with a total capacity of around 2 MW. The panels, manufactured by Enel S.p.A, will be delivered to healthcare facilities in Zhytomyr, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, and Odesa regions. The Health Ministry plans to increase the number of facilities receiving panels in the future. The project aims to enhance energy independence of medical facilities amidst constant attacks on Ukraine's energy system. Ursula von der Leyen initiated the project with support from various ministries and organizations. Additionally, a sodium-ion battery project and UNDP's assessment of solar projects in Ukraine were also highlighted.
