UniCredit joins a select group of European banks with a capitalization of over 60 bln. euro

UniCredit, an Italian bank, joined a select group of European banks with a market capitalization of over 60 billion euros. The bank's market value rose due to better-than-expected quarterly results and is expected to ease monetary policy following interest rate increases by the European Central Bank. Led by general manager Andrea Orcel, UniCredit has rewarded shareholders and shown strong business growth in Central and Eastern Europe, with notable presence in Romania.
