Uniper to recommission 160 MW pumped storage plant in Germany

Uniper plans to invest €250 million to recommission the pumped storage plant in Happurg, Bavaria. The plant, one of the largest in Germany, with 160 MW capacity and 209 meters drop height, was shut down in 2011. The plan to reconnect it to the grid in 2028 after a feasibility study and approval by authorities.
