Canadian Premium Sand (CPS) is expanding its business by launching an 800 ton-per-day solar glass facility in Alberta. The company has signed offtake agreements with major panel manufacturers Qcells, Meyer Burger, and Heliene. The facility will produce a range of patterned solar glass specifications to meet strong demand for US solar manufacturing. CPS received an Environmental Act license from Manitoba province to construct the facility in Selkirk. The company plans to power the facility with renewable energy and use recycled water in the manufacturing process to reduce the carbon footprint.
