Varta-led group kicks off sodium-ion battery research project

A consortium co-ordinated by German battery manufacturer Varta AG has initiated a project called ENTISE to develop sodium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and home storage systems. The initiative aims to improve storage capacity, cycling stability, and move towards pre-industrial scale production. The project received EUR 7.5 million in funding from the Federal Ministry of Research and Education.
