Varta-led team secures EUR 7.5m for sodium-ion battery research

Varta AG, a German battery manufacturer, received EUR 7.5 million from the Federal Ministry of Research and Education for the ENTISE project, which aims to develop sodium-ion batteries for energy storage. The project, starting on June 1 and ending in mid-2027, involves 15 entities and intends to create eco-friendly and efficient cell chemistry for applications in electric vehicles and other storage systems.
