Vast, Mabanaft sign JDA for green methanol project in South Australia

Australian company Vast Renewables Ltd and German company Mabanaft have signed a joint development agreement for the Solar Methanol 1 project in South Australia. The project aims to produce 7,500 tonnes of green methanol per year using renewable heat from Vast's CSP plant. The agreement includes offtake rights for Mabanaft for future green fuels projects powered by Vast technology. The companies are supported by funding from the Australian and German governments.
