Vattenfall records 6% decline in H1 wind operating profit

The Swedish state-owned utility Vattenfall AB reported a decline in underlying operating profit in the wind segment for the first half of 2024 despite a significant increase in electricity generation. The decline was attributed to lower electricity prices, higher costs, and depreciation, partly offset by higher volumes from new wind farms and subsidies for offshore wind projects.
